MERI
Originally from Spain, I was born and raised in Barcelona before moving to the UK in 2002 shortly after completing a degree in translation studies. I have always had a love and passion for languages and started teaching in 2001 in schools in Barcelona. My career has taken me to many exciting places including teaching Spanish at Aardman so Sean the Sheep could go transatlantic, and teaching Spanish to actors on E4’s Skins for Company Pictures.

In 2007 I started working at the University of Bristol teaching Spanish to undergraduates as well as tutoring adults at the UoB’s Language Centre on the Life Long Learning programme. After almost a decade I left to concentrate my efforts full time on MeriSpanish. In 2015 I started MeriSpanish in Clifton to teach Spanish to adults of all language levels. Since moving to a new classroom in Horfield in 2016, I have had the opportunity to teach hundreds of students through evening and daytime group courses, 1-2-1 private tuition and also online.
Whatever reason you decide to learn Spanish with me you can be assured to get the very best opportunity to learn in a modern, dynamic and fun way.
